A radical change

A radical change

So, you are about to move from a rural area to a city?

Here's my perspective on the changes you go through when you move to a city.

I used to live in the rural area of Mulalo located in the city of Latacunga, Ecuador at the age of 13, I attended school as I lived during the two months of summer, within this area internet was not available and therefore telephone services were poor and communication was almost non-existent.

The advantages of living in a rural area are that the lifestyle is more relaxed as you can hear your own feelings because the town is not infested or full of people, you can have a relaxed and deep contact with nature and the environment is a perfect environment to develop our ideas and recover certain traditions, you can do outdoor activities and this will allow you to lose weight a little, like everything good there is a bad thing and the negative of living in a rural area is that communications are almost nonexistent as there are no digital lines or broadband, supermarkets do not have all the products such as cleaning products for people to live properly and there are no medical services during the weekends or in the evening hours.

The advantages of living in a city bring great offers of services and leisure so that families can cover all their basic needs through food stores, emergency health centers and schools, likewise children will not get bored because they can perform leisure activities such as going to the movies, theater, restaurants or even concerts, One of the great benefits of living in the city is that the society can have a good communication because there are infrastructures, highways and public transport that allows them to move efficiently and quickly and also the society has a more active social life because the fact of living within a larger population center gives them the advantage of being able to meet many more people in a simple and fast way.

When I moved from the town of Mulalo to the city of Quito, Ecuador I had the problem of discrimination against my family and me when we went to eat in a restaurant because they called us peasants and told us that we did not deserve to eat because according to them no one in my family worked honestly, I have also witnessed many robberies that can occur because people take their valuables at the wrong time but also certain police are somewhat corrupt and this causes crime to continue to grow but nevertheless as you can see there are more positive factors than negative ones. Living in the city is great. It may make you distrustful, worry or anxious at times but I assure you or guarantee that when you stop living in the city you will miss it a lot because you have grown to love it. Just make sure you come back for the holidays!
